Appointed Chair in March 2009, Kathryn Halliday has served on St Basils Board for 10 years. Employment lawyer and partner at Cobbetts, Kathryn has experience in personnel, equal opportunities and employment and training matters. Having taken part in almost every Fundraising event run by St Basils she is keen to strengthen the relationship between our Youth Advisory Board and the Board.

Chief Executive: Jean Templeton

Jean is Chief Executive of St Basils in Birmingham. St Basils was one of the Housing Corporation Gold winners for tackling homelessness in 2006 and RSL Centre of Excellence in the National Youth Homelessness Scheme 2007-9.
She is the Third sector Assembly Housing Champion in Birmingham, member of City Housing Partnership Exec Board, voluntary sector representative on the Regional Housing Executive and currently chairs the West Midlands Homelessness Strategy Implementation Group. Jean is a member of CLG’s national Homelessness Strategy Steering group and Supporting People expert reference group and the Youth Justice Board’s accommodation strategy group.
In December 2006, she was awarded an honorary doctorate from University of Birmingham.
Oliver Nyumbu - appt 2005
Chief Executive of Caret Consultancy. As a specialist in strategy review and formulation as well as business and organisational effectiveness, Oliver Nyumbu has many year’s experience of helping senior teams to: manage change; improve organisational effectiveness; improve business performance and working relationships. Oliver served as Chair of St Basils Board from December 2005 until February 2009 and we are grateful to him for sharing his strengths and talents with us.
