Housing Corporation Innovation and Good Practice

Housing Corporation IGP funding the national RSL centre of excellence to share good practice in preventing youth homelessness .

St Basils as the National RSL Centre of Excellence is to help housing associations prevent and tackle youth homelessness.

Housing Corporation Gold Award Winner St Basils is being funded through the Corporation's Innovation and Good Practice Grant( IGP) to support local agencies around the country to address the accommodation and wider needs of young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

St Basils offers:

  • Learning Exchanges using a mix of presentation, discussion and visits to specific projects of interest to provide the opportunity to focus on challenges and practice in a more focused way;
  • Support and advice to the specialist advisers for the housing association sector in areas where youth homelessness presents a number of challenges;
  • To disseminate key messages and provide access to speakers for key events regionally and nationally to impact on practice in preventing and tackling homelessness.

Housing associations will be able to access this service via Communities and Local Government's National Youth Homelessness Scheme's website at
