We have a planned 2009 programme of tours of St Basils properties and services for those who are interested in finding out more about the work that we do.
A typical 'Seeing is Believing' SIB takes just a few hours of your time. We aim to make sure that it is well worth it.
You arrive at 10.00am for a short presentation by Jean Templeton, our Chief Executive or other member of senior staff, who outlines the context within which St Basils operates. We then take you off in a minibus to visit an accommodation project. This is where you meet young people and staff and find out what it is like to live and work with us. Then we return to St Basils 'Any Questions' and finish with a buffet lunch.
We know from feedback from previous SIB events that this is one of the best ways to raise awareness of how we work and to dispell many of the myths surrounding youth homelessness
Your hosts include Blair Kesseler and his fundraising team, a resident of St Basils and Catherine Clarke, Communications (PR Media). We ensure that you are well looked after and leave with some food for thought.
A 'Seeing is Believing' or more informal visits can be arranged to suit your diary so do get in touch. Contact me. Catherine Clarke
