Barclays took on Tough Mudder to help Charity of the year St Basils
On May 13th 2012 four staff from Barclays in Birmingham; Andy Skidmore, Kally Kaur and Dinesh Subhra and Luke Jackson who are all employees of Barclays in Birmingham took part in a sponsored 'Tough Mudder' which is "a hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle course designed by the special forces to test all round strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie" and have already raised over £400 to help local young people. Barclays Birmingham have chosen St Basils as their 'Charity of the year' and will be organising and taking part in a number activities this year to raise funds for St Basils and help local young people.

Dinesh Subhra from Barclays said: "It might seem a bit mad but we chose to do this for St Basils because we felt the money raised would go a long way in helping a brilliant cause".
Lucy Hackett, Head of Fundraising at St Basils said; "We are hugely grateful to Barclays and their staff for taking on this tough challenge to help us. It's clear its not for the faint hearted! We're very impressed that they managed to complete the obstacle courses and that this one event has already raised over £400".
