Promotions Agency Splinter Sound raise whopping £2,525 with gig hosted by Johnny Doom

On 6th May 2012 local Promotions Agency Splinter Sound hosted a special nostalgic punk gig, featuring local bands and hosted by DJ Johnny Doom. The gig has raised a staggering £2,524.78 to help St Basils and local young homeless people.

Event organiser Jessica Farrugia said: "A BIG thank you to the bands, Johnny Doom and to all the fans who turned up to show their genuine support, as well as Billibee Creative for filming the night -DVDs are available to purchase from their website. We are happy to have created something that was so successful and are proud of all who helped us produce and promote Ballroom Blitz in its entirety. We hope that the money raised will help St Basils with their tremendous work within our city and wish them all the very best."

Co-Event Organiser Andrew Marsh said: “With five months in the planning, Ballroom Blitz completely exceeded my expectations. I was genuinely overwhelmed by the turnout on the night. The support of everyone involved helped ensure the event was a huge success and raised the amount of £2524.78 for St Basils. It was a fantastic night, spirits were high and memories were made. I look forward to working with St Basils again in the near future".

Lucy Hackett, Head of Fundraising at St Basils said; "We would like to thank Splinter Sound for taking on the massive challenge of organising and promoting an event like this. We are very pleased they managed to raise such an impressive total and would like to thank them for their offer of ongoing support".
