We have 3 supported accommodation projects in North Worcestershire; one in Bromsgrove, one in Redditch and one in Kidderminster. We also provide a range of other services to young people in the area including prevention services, Family Mediation and Floating Support.
Our North Worcestershire team also provide Life Skills and Learning, Skills and Work programmes to young people in the area and have their own STaMP (Schools, Mentoring and Training) Project. We also have a Private Rental Scheme called mYPlace, funded by the national homelessness charity Crisis. Currently this is operational in the Wyre Forest area and from April 2012 which joint funding from both District councils, will be extended to the Redditch and Bromsgrove areas as well. The aim of the private rental scheme is to liaise with private landlords and support young people to find suitable accommodation in the Private Rental Sector.
Our Supported Lodgings 'Home2Home' scheme has also been extended to the North Worcestershire area. This scheme is where young care leavers can lodge with carefully selected 'Hosts' in the local community and support them to learn the basic life skills to be independent such as cooking and budgeting.
These services are accessed by a different route to our Birmingham services.
To access these services please email: referralsnw@stbasils.org.uk or phone the Bromsgrove project on 01527 572050. You can find out more about our projects in North Worcestershire by clicking on the links below.
