We need Hosts in Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry and Worcester.

Becoming a Host is about providing:

• A warm and homely environment
• A safe space
• A listening ear and support
• Encouraging a young person to engage in education/work
• Assistance to learn general life skills like cooking and household chores

 

St Basils uses Hosts for short term emergency ‘Nightstop’ placements and longer term Supported Lodgings (planned placements which last between 1 month to 2 years). All young people have had a risk and needs assessment before they are considered for placement.  The criteria is that they should be low risk and low/medium need.
