On Friday 7th April 2017 St Basils and MIND ‘up my street’ organised a workshop to promote health engagement and lasting relationships between young people and the police in their community.
Approximately forty young people from St Basils attended the workshop which was split into 4 sessions: Investing in yourself, Respect yourself (Female exploitation & grooming), why not policing? And Stop and Search. These sessions were delivered by a number of professionals including the Crime Manager and the Assistant Police Commissioner for West Midland Police.
The workshop brought young people and the police together enabling positive learning in a relaxed fun and thoughtful manor. What a success! We look forward to working alongside West Midlands Police in the future.
